THE ROLE

Our recruitment team is currently working with a growing production manufacturer seeking a Logistics Coordinator/Shipper Receiver to work fully in the office and warehouse at the location in Pitt Meadows.

The hired candidate will be responsible for efficiently managing national and international shipments, communicating with truck drivers and carrier companies to ensure shipments are delivered on time to customer facilities, as well as preparing custom clearance documentation. The candidate will also support on the warehouse loading and unloading trucks. Forklift experience is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

 

• Customs clearances
• Shipping/Receiving paperwork and inspecting deliveries and shipments
• Assist in packaging, shipping, and delivery of in-house orders
• Email correspondence with outsourced trucking companies
• Correspondence with internal trucking logistics
• Updating daily ship logs
• Use of Microsoft Office (excel, word, outlook)
• Scheduling outgoing and incoming shipments
• Collaborate with the sales and production team to ensure shipments match customer orders

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in shipping and logistics in a warehouse setting
• Comfortable working both in and out of the office and on the warehouse floor
• Experienced in operating a forklift. Certification is an asset
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and perform the physical requirements for this role
• Microsoft Office, with a focus on Excel and Outlook
• Having access to reliable transportation
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced production setting
• Preference is given to those coming from metal/wood/plastic manufacturing companies
• Proven high level of attention to detail in all aspects of the job, ensuring no element is overlooked
• Strong problem-solving to proactively identify potential issues
• Commanding communication skills, providing detailed insights for continuous improvement
• Adhere to strict company policies

Compensation

 

• $60,000 (open for negotiation for the right candidate)
