Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and highly organized Assistant Facilities Manager to support the daily operations and maintenance of our school facilities. This role is vital in ensuring our learning environment remains safe, efficient, and well-maintained for students, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the management of building maintenance, cleaning, security, and health & safety compliance.
- Supervise site staff and contractors to ensure tasks are completed to the required standards.
- Support in scheduling and overseeing regular inspections, risk assessments, and emergency procedures.
- Monitor and report on maintenance issues, budgets, and inventory.
- Liaise with internal departments to ensure facility needs are met efficiently and effectively.
Skills
Qualifications & Experience:
- Previous experience in a facilities, maintenance, or operations role, ideally within an educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage teams and contractors.
- Good communication and IT skills.
